I grew up here in the Las Vegas area and eventually ended up becoming a Civil Engineer, leaving my dream of becoming an artist behind.  I went on to design and develop housing and commercial projects in around the Las Vegas Valley area.  And then...the housing crash and the recession hit.

My proudest accomplishment has been raising my two boys, and honestly it’s my children that rekindled my love for the creative process.  In the housing crash I found myself without a direction and without a job.

With my mom's help (a lot of help!) and support of my husband, I decided to focus on my creative abilities and see where it would take me.  Let's just say....Good Therapy!

In the past 4 to 5 years I dug deep into my earlier beginnings as a young aspiring artist, as a means to calm my troubled soul.  The slow burning passion exposed itself when I found the potter’s wheel and attended classes with my younger son.  Together we inspired each other and learned our craft and allowed our artistic voice to be heard.

I am very passionate about helping people with my expertise as an Engineer, but I am also very passionate about my creative ideas and inspiring young artists, including my youngest son, Nick.

Today I am a sculptor and potter, bringing my creations to art shows here in the Southern Nevada area.

At the present time I am the treasurer of the Nevada Clay Guild.    I can be reached at squarepigpottery@cox.net
